Makeup Routine

I am a big believer in splurging on good makeup. At least when it comes to foundation. Mascara and eyeliner you can buy at your local Target. I thought I would show you guys my favorite products and what I have found to work for me. I always moisturize my face before applying my makeup because I tend to have very dry skin. Once that dries for a couple of minutes I take my concealer stick and use it on any problem areas. Then I apply my foundation, highlighter and then bronzer. I do my eyeliner and mascara last.

Makeup Brushes: I have been using my Lancome brush from Dillards on the left for almost ten years to apply my foundation and bronzer. Is that gross? Anyway, the point is, it is still in such good condition and it is so soft. Worth every penny. The bristles never fall out either. I got a free kit of bare minerals brushes when I bought powder once and they are terrible. They are rough and lose bristles all over when you use them. I threw them away. My other two brushes are from Sephora. The middle one is the Multitasker complexion and I use it for highlighting. I decided to include my blush brush on the right although I usually only wear blush in the summer when I have more of a tan. That one is called the Must-have angled blush.

Powders: I use a Lacome all over foundation. My bronzer is from Bare Minerals and it is called Warmth. It has taken me a long time to find a bronzer that I love. I hate when they are glittery or have any sort of shimmer to them. My highlighter is Too Faced Candlelight Glow and I love it. I included another picture down below of when I first bought it. I have been using it for almost a year and it's still going strong. These products all last a long time.

I like to apply the lighter side of this down my nose and under my eyes to brighten them up. The blush I use more in the summer time.

And these are the products that I use that I find work just as well as higher end brands. Covergirl Lash Exact is my favorite mascara. The bristles are very short which makes it easy to apply without my eyelashes getting super gloppy and gross. I hate that more than anything. It also stays on all day without leaving residue on your eyelids after a few hours of wear. Revlon Colorstay liquid eye pen makes applying your eyeliner so easy and it lasts forever. I've had this stick for about 6 months already.

Let me know if you have any questions! Also, I am always looking for new products so let me know which items you love and can't live without! I'd love to try them.
