End of May

This post is going to be a little sporadic. Just like the last couple of weeks have been. Monday, we are headed to Lake Powell! That's really all I can think about. :) Brandon and I went to Los Hermanos last week. Every time we go, I am not impressed with their food. I go for the chips that they serve at the beginning. :) Other than that, I am a Cafe Rio gal. We also went and tried out the new place in Springville called The Orange Peel. I got the Brazilian smoothie which was amazing! Brandon got the Big Kahuna...I'm not much of a coconut fan. We had a BBQ for Memorial Day at Brandon's parents house and my aunt Traci was also in town visiting and so my family had a get together at a park to hangout and we fed the ducks. I wish they lived closer.

Traci's daughter Naomi.

These ducks were cracking me up sticking their bums out of the water.

Brandon enjoying a chocolate/strawberry shake.  :)

I realize this is from winter time when we took family pictures before Christian left on his mission, but it is too cute not to share. I love it.

Oliver

Amber and Alvin had their baby a few weeks ago and I am jumping up and down with joy for them! Oliver is the cutest, sweetest and most well behaved baby. He is one lucky boy because he gets to have Amber and Alvin as his mom and dad. You two are the best. I love you Amber and I miss you guys already!
I went a little camera crazy when Amber brought Oliver over. So I will just pick some of my favorites that are way too cute not to share. He is about three weeks old in these pictures.

I love this face. :)

News

  • We moved into our new place last Thursday and finally finished unpacking everything and getting it put together. Now I just need to finish decorating, which is the fun part!
  • We got into the St. George marathon! By we I mean...Spencer, Steph, my mom, dad, Brandon and I. I am so excited that we will all be doing it this time! Spencer and Steph weren't allowed to do marathons when they were running for UVU but they are graduated now. My dad and I went three miles on Monday and my legs are sore...I have a lot of work to do.
  • I started my night job again. Steph and I work the same nights and get to message each other and chat all night. :) I also get to catch up on my tv shows that I let go during the school year.
  • We got to Skype Joseph on Mother's Day and see his face! Then after that, we headed over to Brandon's house and got to talk to Christian too.
  • My aunt Amber had her baby and they named him Oliver. He is the cutest little boy I have ever seen and we got to hold him and see them for a little bit before they moved to Maryland yesterday. I miss them already. I took a ton of pictures of Oliver but that will be a post of it's own.
  • Brandon and I are headed to St. George next week for a couple of days and I am excited for our little mini vacation to relax and spend time together. :)
Best cupcakes I have ever made. They were so good!

I miss this guy. Lake Powell won't be the same without him this year.

Love Love Love this boy that's sweating in Jamaica!

Christian is in Singapore.

Brandon and Oliver were so cute together. He loved holding him. :)

Girls Getaway

Last week Courtney, Steph and I went and stayed in our condo in Mesquite for a few days to celebrate Courtney's birthday. Which was today! Happy birthday pretty girl. I don't have too many pictures because it was filled with mostly relaxation and pool time. Girl talk on the drive there and back, listening to old cds from back in the day, laying out, trips for ice cream after and drives to the Redbox every night to pick up the cheesiest chick flicks to watch and laugh at. We did some exploring around the town but it is very small. We popped into a couple of antique shops and found some unique things to take home with us and also ran into an old motel that I had to snap some pictures at.
One of the funniest parts of the trip was when Courtney wanted to go down to the casino and play on the slot machine just once to say she has and said, "I want them to card me. They will, because I look like a baby." So we went. And sure enough they asked for our ID's within the first minute. When the lady asked if she could see our ID's Courtney said, "Sure!" :) She cracks me up. We definitely don't look 23 to me either. That got old fast though and so we left to grab dinner. All in all, a great girls getaway.

The cute birthday girl. :)
