My mom, Steph and I took a girls trip up to the Midway Ice Castles last Thursday. It was a lot of fun. We got there when it was light out and stayed for over an hour so that we could see it once it got dark and was all lit up and colorful. I have to say, I thought it was much prettier during the day and a whole lot less busy. As soon as it started to get dark, people came rolling in and it was crowded. It also got a lot chillier. It took my hands and feet a while to defrost as I drove us back home but the drive was really pretty too.
