Time to document our second anniversary! :) I took way too many pictures to post them all at once, so I will be doing them by days. I feel like for those of you who don't know us as well, you will need a little background first. I am lucky because my husband loves to cook and not only does he love to cook, but he is really good at it. When I have asked to make a meal he usually responds with, "You don't like my cooking?" :) He just always wants to be the one cooking, leaving me with the cleaning up after. I don't mind it though, since I'm more of a baker. Anyway, when we planned this trip to New York a lot of things on our agenda were to hit up restaurants and places from Food Network. We watch Food Network quite often before we go to bed. Now back to the beginning...
We took a red eye flight to New York and got there early in the morning. We walked to our hotel and dropped off our stuff and then went to Grand Central Station and took the subway to the Bronx and walked up to Arthur Ave. and got fresh Italian pizza. The pieces were huge! This is before we decided it would be a good idea to share everything so we could try more food and I only ate about half of it. After that, we thought we were going to be late to the Yankees game so we hurried to Yankee stadium and ended up having to wait 3 hours for the game to start because it started to rain...that was a downer. We started to think they weren't even going to play but then they started to pull the tarp off of the field! Even though it was still raining a little. It got sunnier as the game went on. The Yankees played the Blue Jays and won. The rest of the day we just walked around Manhattan closer to our hotel because we were pretty tired from getting no sleep. We picked up quite a few desserts and brought them all back to our hotel to eat. :)

So, we picked up this cheesecake from Juniors, which was in a Bobby Flay Throw Down episode on Food Network. :) He is too cute. |

We picked up a lemon cupcake which was so good! Sprinkles is Candace Nelson's bakery. She is the judge on Cupcake Wars. |
