June 26th

My mom and I took a trip to the temple last week before they headed to Vegas for the Beachbody Summit. I'm glad she's always asking me to go with her. I always feel too tired or busy to go but am always glad when I take the time to go with her. Brandon and I also took a trip up to Park City and Salt Lake last week. We had lunch at the Blue Lemon which was good but shopping was kind of a miss for me. Is it just me or do you all agree the styles of clothing out right now kind of suck? I am just so picky. Also, nothing fits me right. I always have fun walking around and looking with my hubby though. :) If they would just make dresses a couple inches longer and not have stupid sayings on everything. Erica, Steph and I decided to go to the reservoir this morning, then got shakes at Maverick and then went to the mall for a little bit and my mom joined us for that. I didn't get anything, but I have my eyes on these Steve Madden wedges at Dillards. If they ever go on sale I am snagging them. Even though Brandon hates wedges almost as much as he hates anything with leopard print. :) They'll grow on him...
I hope.

This is what Brandon's night stand looks like every morning. Poor guy and his darn allergies. I finally had to buy him a trash can so I didn't have to keep throwing them away. :)

Two of my best friends.

Glitter and Gold

My friend Sidney and I got together yesterday to catch up and do something crafty. Since Brandon and I moved into our new place about three months ago, I haven't decorated at all and it really needs a few unique touches to make it feel more homey. Well, I love glitter and I love gold so we made some clips for the fridge and I think they turned out so cute! I loved having you over Sidney!

A picture of Brandon and I back in high school about six years ago. Still one of my favorites.

Mid June

Brandon and I went on a date walking around the Riverwoods Shops and getting ice cream last week. We also went to the Hale Center Theater in Orem and saw Urinetown with my family. It had some funny parts, but man was that a weird story line. Of the crazy amounts of plays and musicals I have seen there, I can say that wasn't one of my favorites. Saturday morning Spencer, Steph, my grandma and I went yard sale hopping. I was a little skeptical whether I would find anything but it was so much fun! They were everywhere. I ended up finding a vanity tray for a dollar and I'm in love with it. I am always looking for cute vanity trays and they are always way more than I am willing to pay for them. I decided to dress it up and do a photo shoot with it. Spencer also snagged a pretty cool necklace among other things we brought home with us.

Mmm...lucky me. :)

Also, I have started this photo challenge. Feel free to do it with me. :)

Summer Lovin'

Our first Lake Powell trip this summer! I am in love with this place. I get so giddy when we first pull up and see the water for the first time and so sad when we get in the car to leave. I have so many great memories there and every time we go, they all come rushing back. It wasn't as hard saying goodbye this time as it will be in August. I hate when the time comes where we have to wait another year to experience it all over again.

Relaxing in Moki Canyon.

Spencer and Michael putting warm water in the cooler. :)

Digging holes and filming short videos.

Headed to our beach. Michael and I were in the speedboat.

Getting some sun.

Headed there!

Only my family sees the significance of this sign. It says happiness to me.

Oh hey, look at these cuties.

My dad and us scarfed down Brandon's ribs that he made. I don't think any of us even had a chance to sit down. They were so good!

The famous ribs.
