Mid July

We are leaving for Lake Powell after my shift tomorrow! I am really excited and interested to see how Thor takes it. Luckily we have a houseboat with air conditioning or I would be worried. French bulldogs don't do well in heat. We also bought Thor a life jacket and it is so cute on him even though he totally hates it. He stared at us like we were the devil when we tried it on him. Couldn't...stop...laughing. Bulldogs can't swim though, so he better get used to it. When we get home, we have a couple of days to move into our new place and then Steph, my mom and I are off to Ireland! I am so excited for this girls trip. If any of you have been and have any must-see places that we need to hit, let me know! I'd hate to miss something! Also, if you want to follow along with our trip, I will be posting pics on my Instagram .

Just a few of my favorites from this month...

Thor got sick on the 4th of July. He wasn't eating or drinking anything. We took him to the vet late that night and he has been doing great ever since!

Lots of park time with this little guy.

Megan got her mission call! And we went over to watch her open it.

A few days ago, Steph, Spencer, my mom, grandma and I went to the aquarium in Draper. Jellyfish are always my favorite. I love watching them go from dim to this beautiful glow. The jellyfish tanks were nothing like the ones in Hawaii but still pretty. In Hawaii the room was completely dark besides all of the jellyfish illuminating the tank and there were tons of them. I could sit and watch them for hours. And they were the prettiest pale blue. One of those awe moments I won't ever forget.

This lion fish is crazy. In this picture I am having a conversation with a little boy who is letting me know that they are very poisonous.

So...in preparation for our Lake Powell trip I have been spending a little time with Thor in the kiddie pool we bought. He has to get used to the water or else he will be so hot. He wasn't thrilled at first as you can see. He kept climbing up onto me or jumping out. Luckily today he was running in and out over and over again. :)

His ears came up! :)

He sits next to me while I wash the dishes. I looked down and he was looking up at me... and my heart melted all over the floor.

Family Reunion

Our family reunion was last month! I hardly see everyone on my mom's side and so I flew to Flagstaff, Arizona with my parents and we stayed overnight and spent two days there. Sadly, my dad and I had to come home for work after that. It was good to see everyone though. I don't think it's any kind of secret when I say I mostly went to see my little cousin Oliver. I love that little boy and he lives too far away for my heart to handle. Amber and Alvin, please move back! :) Anyway, Robin hosted the reunion this year and the second day we were there, they had set up a huge carnival so you will see a lot of that incorporated into my pictures. Along with just a bunch of cute faces. They had bouncy houses, ring toss, every carnival food you can think off basically, archery, horse rides, volleyball, and countless other activities. I spared you guys and only uploaded about 1/3 of the pictures. It could be worse. :)

Those little legs!

My mom at the archery.

These two look so much like their momma.

He is so silly.

This picture kills me...drool and all. :)

Meet Thor

Everyone meet Thor, the newest addition to the Allen family! These last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. We found a new place to live and are moving at the beginning of August. We got a dog, and my mom, Steph and I have planned a week long girls trip in August that I am so excited about! Brandon and I have been wanting a french bulldog for a while now and when Brandon found this one, he knew when we went to look at it that I wouldn't be going home without him. I was smitten. He is eight weeks old and is the only one of the bunch that hasn't had his ears come up already. They will pop up in due time. Right now I am just enjoying how cute he is with them floppy because it won't last long.

My heart is happy tonight. I am sitting at my night job with a few hours still to go before I can crawl into bed with Brandon, but that's something I always have to look forward to. And if it's anything like last night when I got home, our little puppy will be right there with him.

Trying to get Brandon's attention.

About to take him home the first day.

Steph came with us and snapped this pic of us deciding on chew toys at the pet store.

He loves to snuggle. Constantly wiggling his way next to us.
