Porch Hangs

Just another day eating crackers on the porch. I can't wait til it warms up more and we can play in the yard all day and watch for Brandon to come home from work. Swimsuits, popsicles, walks, ball throwing and lots of yard work. I'm looking forward to it all. 

I absolutely love their relationship.

Things Eleanor says

Eleanor is constantly making me laugh. I have had to start writing down some of the things she says because I never want to forget them.

One afternoon as the girls and I were driving in the car I heard Eleanor ask, "Where's daddy?"
I responded, "He's at work. He's making money so we can live in our house and have food to eat."
It was quiet for a minute and I heard her say quietly, "He's really good at that."

One night Brandon was tickling her and she was laughing so hard she farted and Brandon looked at her and asked her if she farted. She shook her head and said, "No, it was just bubbles." Oh, okay.

Eleanor sometimes ignores when she has to go poop because she doesn't want to. When she finally tells me she has to go and does I say, "See? Aren't you so much happier now?" And she always says, "Yes!" The other day she said, "Mom, I need to go poop." As she ran to the toilet I heard her say, "I need to be happier."

She is really into playing doctor lately. She came into the room and looked at me. "Mom I just fell. I need a checkup." Then laid down on the couch.

"Mom can I get a big computer?"

She will also grab anyones phone and say, "I need to text."

I was scratching her back on my bed and she asked if she could scratch mine. So I pulled my shirt up and laid down and I heard her start singing, "Soft kitty..." (You have to be a Big Bang Theory fan to understand this one but I couldn't stop laughing.) She loves Sheldon.

I'm pretty obsessed with her and her big personality.

15 months

We have a few updates regarding Harper's allergies. Last year we were told that she was allergic to dogs and almonds. We just got her retested because her eczema has been having some bigger flare ups lately and the test results came back that she is no longer allergic to dogs and her almond allergy has gone down a little bit. Yay! That makes me so happy because she LOVES Thor. They tested all other tree nuts since I am allergic to cashews, pistachios and macadamia nuts but she is clear of all others. I am hoping that her almond allergy continues to decrease and that her eczema will fade. It's so sad watching her scratch behind her knees and the creases by her elbows. You can tell she is always itchy and it kills me. She's gone through more bottles of lotion in her lifetime than I have gone through in mine. 

Our little 15 month old tornado is always on the move. She isn't interested in toys at the moment and just wants to explore, get into Thor's dog food/water bowls and the trash can which currently resides on our kitchen table. She has started saying a few words the last couple of weeks and it's so cute! We've heard her say Thor, mama, dada, cheese, ball, shoes, belly, uh oh, poop, yes and please. And she doesn't really say I love you yet but when we say it she replies with three syllables usually sounding like, "I wu woo". It's the best. She still signs for milk and uses those pointer fingers to get what she wants. She's a firecracker and we're so smitten by her.

"Cheese."

I'm crying.

I'm so blessed.

Mesquite

Took a little weekend getaway with Steph's fam last weekend. We binge watched Queer Eye and ate so much junk food. Although it was windy and not nearly as warm as I would have hoped, I still got to soak in the hot tub, read my book and decompress. I came home revived and ready to love on my babies, pup and husband like crazy. I wish they could have come but Brandon's brother was coming into town so they stayed behind. Next time!
