Goodbye Hair

22 Weeks

23 Weeks

I took this bump update picture even though I had already taken one recently because I had a haircut appointment that day. I called and made the appointment the day before and was only planning on getting a trim. But the morning of, I went ahead and decided to cut off half of my hair instead. I get the worst dreads at the back of my neck wearing coats and scarves. My hair gets so tangled and by the end of the day I can't even run my fingers through it. So this change has been nice. It's been over a week and I still don't miss it which is what I was afraid of when I cut it. So that's good news. Just wait til I want to do a braid...but really. It will grow back fast enough.

After

Maybe losing a ton of hair post pregnancy won't be as gross to watch happen at this length. But mom's, how long does that last? I read that your hair starts shedding more about 12 weeks after delivery and that it stops around 6 months. Does that sound accurate?

We went to Joseph's first indoor track meet. His first college race since his mission. He is running for UVU again. He got a 4.29 mile.

25 Weeks
We had a doctor's appointment today and baby girl is still healthy and kicking! Also, Thor wanted to be in the picture...and I don't mind at all.

Okay, I am not planning on buying any baby clothes yet but when I am out shopping or browse online I can't seem to find any cute baby girl clothes! Everything is pink (which I don't want) or has tacky sayings. Ex. Daddy's Girl. I am not a fan. If any of you know some cute places to look so that I can be prepared, I'd love the input!

Ireland: Part 4

The Cliffs of Moher. Although this place was beautiful, it was definitely the most crowded with tourists. We liked finding the unique places that not many other people knew about. After the cliffs we drove towards Kylemore Abbey but it closed before we were able to take a tour so we stayed the night at a bed and breakfast. We stopped at multiple bed and breakfasts before we found one with the last room available. Ha, we got lucky. It was dark as we pulled up and it looked so inviting. We were exhausted from driving and hungry. This cute Irish man made us sandwiches and tea in the sitting area before we headed off to bed. My mom loved that part of the trip. She was so cute.

O' Brian's Tower. We paid to go up to the top because it is said to be the best viewing point to see the cliffs, but I disagree. You can see much more from the ground. The walls were so high on top that it was hard to see out.

The cute bed and breakfast we stayed at.

I'm telling you...Steph loved all of our room keys. :)

We passed many sheep just grazing or walking on the side of the roads.

Kylemore Abbey. We explored the grounds and the gardens and took a tour of the inside.

It had a beautiful mini cathedral close by on the grounds.

After Kylemore Abbey, we headed back to Dublin and stayed at the airport until our flight early the next morning.

Ireland: Part 3

Our next stop was Adare Manor. We were just going to drive through to see it but when we got there, we decided to ask if they had a room available. You couldn't really explore the grounds unless you were staying there and when we saw it, we thought it was beautiful and wanted to stay, relax and explore...have a day without driving. They happened to have a room available and it ended up being one of the best rooms with a beautiful view to the gardens in the front and for a reasonable price since we asked the day of and it wasn't taken. We ended up walking into the little town and exploring and having lunch. We bought tons of junk food to bring back to our room to eat later that night while sprawled out on the beds talking. We explored the beautiful grounds to Adare Manor and the inside and there was a lot to explore. This day was so relaxing as we slowed down, spending the whole day in one place.

The service here was impeccable. We weren't sure how to handle it. There were no elevators and our room was on the highest floor and they helped us bring our stuff up, parked our car, brought it around when we needed it, maids would check to see if we needed anything and they brought us this cute box of chocolates.

Steph had a mild obsession with all of our hotel room keys. None of them were card activated.

Run down architecture in the town.

The cutest little houses!

Walking back to Adare Manor. It is hidden away past all of this expansive land past their gate. So once you get to it your jaw just drops.

The view from our room. I'm telling you...fairytale!

The room came with robes and slippers, which Steph was really excited to wear.

We had breakfast there in the morning and the french toast was so fancy. And of course we had hot chocolate. We didn't go a day without a hot chocolate.

About to hit the road to go to County Clare to see the Cliffs of Moher. This guy was awesome. Irish people are so nice and fun to talk to.
